Position Summary:
Responsible for providing excellent front desk service to YMCA childcare program participants and parents.

Essential Functions:
- Provides excellent front desk service to program participants, their families, staff members and other individuals.
- Informs teachers and other staff pertinent information regarding families’ schedules, billing issues, absences.
- Provides excellent telephone service.
- Conducts tours of the facility for prospective program participants and guests.
- Remains accountable for all monetary transactions on shift and appropriate reconciliation of these transactions.
- Maintains Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) paperwork and records.
- Builds relationships with program participants and guests.
- Performs routine copying and filing.
- Is familiar with childcare information as outlined in the childcare and parent handbooks.
- Proactively solves problems.
- Follows appropriate safety guidelines.
- Communicates to direct supervisor any concerns or incidents that may need follow-up.
- Upholds guidelines as outlined in the Child Care and Employee Handbooks of the Association.
- Possesses the ability and appropriate safe driving record to drive a vehicle, safely transporting up to 14 children.
- Protects confidential information regarding program participants, families, and staff members.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess high school diploma or GED. A 2-year degree or applicable experience is preferred.
- Six months or more of related customer service and clerical experience required.
