Free Senior Wellness Program Hosted by Local YMCA

[Miami Valley, 09.23.14] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is very pleased to announce that it is entering the implementation phase of their new Move2Live program. This senior wellness initiative is made possible by grant funding, and will allow senior adults age 55 and above to participate for FREE.  The year-long program is designed to improve the overall health of seniors by engaging them in a variety of health based activities.

Included in the Move2Live program:Move 2 Live logo grn
-    Biometric screenings to monitor health status and improvement
-    44 weeks of structured training and activity in a small group setting
-    Education sessions on topics such as nutrition, prescription maintenance, stress management, diabetes prevention, and much more

Also included with the Move2Live program is a free YMCA membership. Since this program is provided free of charge, space is limited to the first 150 participants at the following YMCA locations:
