The YMCA’s Before and After School Care Program serves children from kindergarten to age 12 within a number of public, private, parochial, and charter schools in Dayton and the Greater Miami Valley area. Our program nurtures the spirit, mind, and body, giving children the ability to develop and reach their full potential.

How to Register for Child Care
Step 1: View our available School Age locations below.
Step 2: Choose you location below and click on the "PRE-REGISTER TODAY!" button
OR call or visit your local YMCA that is offering this program option during our enrollment hours, 8am-5pm, Monday–Friday. Space is limited, registrations will be first come, first serve. After filling out the pre-registration of interest for a childcare location, childcare staff will follow up with families. To be enrolled in the program, families must complete a paper registration packet, sign a letter of understanding and an ODJFS Health Form for each program cycle. Additional ODJFS forms will be needed for children with any special accommodations or medication to be administered. Enrollment status is confirmed by the childcare program director or registrar.
Step 3: We will be in touch within 24 business hours and provide you with details regarding our School Age programs. Our Child Care Business Office is open Monday–Friday from 8am–5pm.

As with all of our YMCA youth care and enrichment opportunities, this program is specifically designed to meet the developmental characteristics and needs of the youth we serve. Program directors are mindful that children have different developmental needs during school years and activities are geared accordingly, from help with homework to simply “blowing off steam.” The YMCA is a trusted partner with a proven track record.
*The YMCA of Greater Dayton is an approved ACE marketplace provider for our Before and After School Care. Parent/Guardian pays for goods/services at time of service. This type of purchase can be reimbursed with OH ACE account funds directly to the parent/guardian via claim submission with an attached receipt in the OH ACE app as long as the parent/guardian has connected their bank account to the app.The YMCA will comply with all audits to confirm payments made line up with funds requested to the parent/guardian.
