Miami Valley – 05/14/2024 – Get ready to move and groove this summer with your friends at the YMCA of Greater Dayton. The Y on the Fly initiative is back for another season, and your local Y is coming to YOU. Be on the lookout for the mobile YMCA van filled with sports equipment, healthy snacks, and more that will allow kids across our communities to enjoy an afternoon with the encouraging and supportive staff of the Y. Y on the Fly is provided by the YMCA of Greater Dayton and sponsored by PNC Bank, AES, and Dayton Children’s Hospital.

This summer, have the peace of mind that your children will be safe at the pool, around the lake, and beyond. The YMCA of Greater Dayton has announced its annual offering of free water safety classes for kids in grades K-6 in the community with their Safety Around Water program June 3rd-7th. This program is provided to empower kids around pools and educate parents about the importance of water safety. 

Local kids will have a place to work out, hang out, and give back this summer!

Miami Valley – 04/15/2024 – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is hosting the Y’s annual Healthy Kids Day® on Saturday, May 11th from 12pm–4pm located at Riverscape MetroPark in Downtown Dayton. This FREE, annual event features a variety of family-friendly activities to encourage healthy kids, healthy families, and a healthy start to the summer season. 

The new Premier Health YMCA is officially open to the public at 2469 Salem Avenue. The new 50,000-square foot multi-purpose facility includes a full-sized competition pool, state-of-the-art cardio fitness center, gymnasium, outdoor sports field, and fully equipped weight training area. With 25,000-square feet of space for community partners, the YMCA of Greater Dayton has proudly partnered with Premier Health, CareSource, CountyCorp, Goodwill Easterseals of Miami Valley, and Wright State University to bring the Premier Health YMCA to the vibrant communities in West Dayton.

April 24, 2023 – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is participating in the Five Days of Action, April 24-28, 2022. The Five Days of Action is a weeklong campaign to raise awareness and inspire adults to take action to protect children from sexual abuse.

Free and open to the public, this annual event features a day of fun-filled activities to celebrate kids being kids.

Premier Health YMCA to be Centerpiece of First Phase of Wellness Campus

DAYTON, Ohio (October 31, 2022) – A groundbreaking ceremony on Friday begins a community-inspired transformation of the former Good Samaritan Hospital site.

More than 100 people attended the ceremony headlined by U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown. Afterward, the project’s six partners smiled as their shovels turned over dirt, signaling the start of a promising future for the 13-acre campus.
