From Basketball Camps to classes on how to play sports, the YMCA is here to teach the fundamentals of sports in a fun and exciting way! Our programs instill our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility by teaching kids good sportsmanship in an encouraging atmosphere. Not only will your child learn a new skill, but they will make friends and grow in positive ways.

SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMP
PROMOTING THE INDIANA PACERS & FEVER
JULY 13TH–17TH, 2026


The 2026 Summer Basketball Camp will take place July 13–17 and is led by professional shooting coach Thom Townsley, a nationally recognized instructor with more than 25 years of experience and over 6,500 clinics conducted worldwide. Thom also works with the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever as a promotional instructor and coach, bringing professional-level insight and experience directly to our campers. This camp is designed to help players build confidence, improve fundamentals, and develop game-ready skills in a positive and competitive YMCA environment.

Monday–Thursday (July 13–16)
• Location: Thomas Cloud Park
• Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Skill development focused on shooting mechanics, ball handling, footwork, defensive and offensive decision making
• Game-speed drills and competitive scrimmages

Friday, July 17 – Court of Dreams Experience

Campers will travel to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis for the exclusive Court of Dreams experience. Participants will have the opportunity to play on the official Pacers court inside the home arena of the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever.

Following the on-court experience, families will have the opportunity to purchase discounted Indiana Fever game tickets for the Friday, July 17 game.

To attend the Indiana Fever game, a parent or legal guardian must be present at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, purchase a discounted game ticket prior to tipoff, and officially sign their camper out with YMCA staff. Players will only be released to a parent or legal guardian who is staying for the game.

All other campers who are not attending the game will be bussed back home at the conclusion of the Court of Dreams experience at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Parental supervision is required at all times for those attending the game. A signed permission slip will be required prior to travel.
