Committee Volunteer Opportunities (Select all interests)
This committee will determine the five year annual support goals for the branch taking into account projected scholarships for program participants & members and specific program support. The members of this committee will also serve as the leadership for the annual support campaign.
This committee shall be responsible for formulating the general membership guidelines of the branch. It shall make recommendations regarding benefits of membership and the engagement of members. It will report monthly to the Board on current membership statistics and trends. It shall also prescribe the rules and regulations governing the conduct of persons on the premises. The committee will also work with the staff to develop general internal and external marketing communications for the YMCA.
The Program Committee will oversee all youth, adult, family and senior programs at the Coffman YMCA branch. The task of the group will be to ensure program quality and assist in developing new programs. Program areas will be surveyed bi-annually for program quality and feedback from members regarding program improvements and ideas for new programs will be develop by this committee.
The Safety & Risk Management Facilities Committee will ensure that the staff of the YMCA provide and maintain a workable, well maintained, well managed and safe environment for members, participants and staff. Through thorough evaluation of all areas of the facility, programs and staffing, this Committee will determine safe practices, and make recommendations for improvement. This Committee will also filter suggestions to the board for facility expansion or recommendations on facility use, while assisting YMCA staff in developing a detailed area-by-area analysis of the facility (both inside and out) to help develop a quarterly list of projects.
The Christian Emphasis Committee will ensure that the staff of the YMCA provide and maintain a Judeo/Christian environment for members, participants and staff. Through thorough evaluation of all areas of the facility, programs and staffing, the Christian Emphasis Committee will determine Judeo/Christian practices, and make recommendations for improvement.
