Y on the Fly
The YMCA of Greater Dayton's ‘Y ON THE FLY’ program is a mobile YMCA delivering games, activities and healthy snacks to children in underserved neighborhoods during the summer months.
Safety Around Water
Every year, we provide a week of free water safety and basic swimming lesson skills to kids in our community with our Safety Around Water Week program.
Scholarships
Thanks to the YMCA’s base of contributed support, scholarships are available. Subject to available resources, no person will be denied membership or program participation due to their inability to pay fees.

The YMCA of Greater Dayton is a not-for-profit, charitable, health and human services organization committed to helping ALL people grow in spirit, mind and body. We offer affordable monthly membership rates for families, adults, young adults and youth. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
Every day, the YMCA of Greater Dayton offers quality, affordable programs and services designed to benefit people of all incomes and backgrounds. The Y uses contributed funds to ensure that those unable to pay the stated amount are able to participate.
Those unable to pay the full fee may receive financial assistance based on their demonstrated ability to pay and the Y’s ability to fund the subsidy.

Frequently Asked Questions
The YMCA of Greater Dayton has three categories of membership:
Family - A family is defined - solely for the purpose of classifying Y membership - as any two adults living in one household, and any dependent children up to age 18 residing at the same address and dependent children enrolled full-time in college up to age of 24.
Adult - An adult membership is for an individual 28 years or older.
Young Adult - Our young adult membership is available for individuals ages 18-27.
Youth/Teen - A youth membership is available for adolescents ages 6–17.

The following applies to our 24-hour facilities at: The Kleptz YMCA, YMCA at the Heights (Huber Heights), and Xenia YMCA.
All individuals remaining in the building at 10:00 pm are required to return to the lobby to check-in for the overnight hours. At that time, anyone that is not an active member of the YMCA of Greater Dayton will be required to leave the facility and will no longer have access. Members are required to scan back into the facility to access the overnight hours.
• Between the hours of 10pm and 5am, the YMCA is only open to YMCA of Greater Dayton members that are 18 years of age and older.
• Between the hours of 10pm and 5am, the YMCA is not open to nationwide members or guests.
• Area Facilities that are available during the overnight hours:
• Fitness Center
• Functional Fitness Room (if applicable)
• Front & Back Gymnasiums (if applicable)
• Walking Track
• Locker Rooms
• Proper attire is required.
• To ensure the safety of all, YMCA staff reserve the right to remove a patron from the facility if he or she is behaving in an unsafe or inappropriate manner. 24-hour access can be revoked for behavior issues.
• The Overnight Building Supervisor’s decisions are final. Please respect their authority.
To cancel your YMCA membership, simply visit the Member Services desk at your home branch YMCA. We have a short form for you to complete in order to stop your monthly membership. Some quick notes on cancellation:
- We do require that you provide us with 10 days written notice prior to your next scheduled monthly membership withdrawal.
- Any outstanding fees to the YMCA of Greater Dayton must be paid in full prior to or at the time of cancellation.
- Membership cancellations are not accepted over the phone or through e-mail.
