A Place to Belong, Explore, and Grow

June 2nd-August 15th, 2025

The Spot is more than just a few hours out of the house—it’s a dynamic, 4-hour mini-day camp created just for teens ages 12–15. Held at select YMCA locations, The Spot gives teens a safe, welcoming space to connect, explore new interests, and discover what they’re capable of—with guidance from positive adult role models.

Teenagers hanging out

Every day at The Spot is packed with hands-on experiences and time to just be yourself. Teens will:

  • Collaborate with peers in team-building activities

  • Dive into exciting STEM projects

  • Get creative with arts and crafts

  • Move their bodies with recreation and outdoor games

  • Practice leadership and communication skills

As a YMCA program, The Spot is designed to:

  • Nurture leadership and confidence in every participant

  • Provide screen-free social connection in a structured environment

  • Promote physical activity and mental wellness

  • Be led by trained, caring role models who know how to relate to teens

This isn’t just a break from the usual summer routine—it’s a step toward independence, friendships, and real-world skills.

The Spot is hosted at select YMCA branches throughout the Greater Dayton area. Each location offers a unique take on the program, but all share the same core mission: to help teens thrive. Currently, The Spot is available at the following locations and times:
