Volunteer of the Year Award Presented to Downtown Dayton Supporter

[Miami Valley, OH 4/25/19] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Carmen Bostic as the Downtown Dayton YMCA volunteers of the year.

Carmen has been an incredible asset to the Downtown Dayton YMCA since working as a volunteer and board member.  Carmen has done an excellent job working to develop the branch volunteer program and has recruited over 60 volunteers for the Downtown YMCA. She has helped raise funds towards the YMCA of Greater Dayton’s Annual Campaign, which promises to never turn anyone away from the Y due to an inability to pay.  Carmen is also an active member of the branch board.

The award was presented during the YMCA's 148th Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton on March 14th. The event raised over $26,000 for the YMCA's Annual Campaign and LIVESTRONG at the Y program. The night consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.
