Volunteer of the Year Award Presented to Preble County Supporter

[Miami Valley, OH 4/14/19] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Tim and Cheryl Geeting as the Preble County YMCA volunteers of the year.

Tim and Cheryl Geeting have been active members of the Preble County YMCA for more than 10 years.  Cheryl has been very active as the annual campaign co-chair and also serves on the Preble County YMCA Board. Both Tim and Cheryl have volunteered hundreds of hours at our YMCA, helping with special events, painting both the indoor and outdoor pools and clearing dead trees from the Y’s property.

They are always asking, “What can I do for the Y”. 

Together, Tim and Cheryl, work unselfishly to improve the overall quality of the Preble County YMCA, our board and our annual campaign and more importantly our community.  The YMCA is grateful for all they do for our Y family. 

The award was presented during the YMCA's 148th Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton on March 14th. The event raised over $26,000 for the YMCA's Annual Campaign and LIVESTRONG at the Y program. The night consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.
