Welcome, Versailles YMCA!
We’re excited to welcome the Versailles YMCA to the YMCA of Greater Dayton association! As we come together, we know you may have questions — and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
To help make this transition as smooth and inclusive as possible, we’ve created a Q&A module just for you. This resource is designed to provide clear, helpful answers about what this change means, how it benefits your community, and what to expect next.
We’re honored to walk alongside you in this journey — because together, we’re stronger. Welcome to the family, Versailles!
The Versailles YMCA closed in August 2025, but the community’s passion to keep their Y alive never wavered. Local leaders worked closely with the Ohio YMCA Alliance to find a strong partner that could bring renewed stability and opportunity.
The YMCA of Greater Dayton is proud to step in and reopen the Versailles YMCA, continuing its mission to strengthen community through programs that support healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility. We’re excited to bring new energy, expanded resources, and lasting impact to the Versailles community!
Members can look forward to exciting improvements throughout the facility, along with new programs, expanded services, and enhanced staff training. You’ll also gain access to the YMCA of Greater Dayton’s virtual platform, giving you even more ways to stay active and connected — anytime, anywhere.
With these upgrades and additions, your Versailles YMCA experience will be better than ever!
No — previous memberships will not automatically transfer once the Versailles YMCA reopens. You’ll need to rejoin when the branch officially opens.
You can help us by spreading the word in your community that the Versailles YMCA is reopening in 2025! The Y thrives because of strong community involvement and membership — together, we can make this reopening a success.

We’re excited to share that Child Watch will be available for our members, allowing parents to bring their young children to the Y while they enjoy our facilities. (Hours will be limited.) This is one of the many great perks of membership!
At this time, we will not be offering licensed child care upon opening. However, we’re planning to host a Community Stakeholders Meeting before the end of 2025 to better understand the needs of the Versailles community. The feedback gathered from that meeting will help guide our future program offerings and priorities so we can continue to serve our community in the best possible way.
