Incorporate these recipes of healthier alternatives, dare I say, healthy indulgences to your holiday this spring. Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup (5 Eggs)

NUTRITION: 113 calories (13g carbs, 5g fat, 4g protein)

INGREDIENTS:
2T Powdered Peanut Butter (24g)
1T Peanut Butter (15g)
6T Dark chocolate chips (100g)

DIRECTIONS: Place muffin liners into a muffin tin. Microwave half of the dark chocolate chips stirring occasionally until melted. Spread melted chocolate into a thin layer covering the bottom of the muffin liners. Freeze for 5-10minutes. Combine powdered peanut butter, peanut butter and a small amount of water until desired consistency. Smooth over frozen chocolate and place back into the freezer for 5-10 minutes. Once the peanut butter layer is frozen, melt the remaining chocolate and spread on top. Freeze for another 5-10 minutes.


Carrot Cake (chocolatecoverkatie) (8 slices)

NUTRITION:  179 calories (22g carbs, 9g fat, 2.5g protein)

INGREDIENTS:
1 ½ Cups Flour (180g)
1 Cup Finely Shredded Carrot (200g)
¾ Cup Unsweetened applesauce (120g)
1/3 cup oil (60g), 2 tsp Vinegar (10g)
2 tsp Vanilla extract, 1 tsp Salt
½ tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/3 Cup Sweetener (65g)

DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray 8 inch square pan with non-stick cooking spray. Stir first 5 ingredients and place in fridge for 10 minutes. In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Pour wet into dry and stir until combined. Pour into pan and bake for 30 minutes until a toothpick can be inserted and comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before serving.


Chocolate Banana Mousse (thebitingtruth.com) (1 serving)

NUTRITION: 185 calories (32g carbs, 5g fat, 3g protein)

INGREDIENTS:
1 banana (100g)
¼ avocado (30g)
2T unsweetened coco powder (10g)
2T sweetener of choice (10g)

DIRECTIONS: Blend all ingredients. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
 

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries (3 strawberry servings)

NUTRITION: 94 calories (10g carbs, 3g fat, 0g protein)

INGREDIENTS:  2 pints strawberries, 225g white chocolate chips, food coloring
