The YMCA is now registering for summer Tennis and Golf camps. Both programs are open to kids ages 6-15. Registration for golf camp is going on now through July 5, with the camp running July 7-July 11 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Eaton Country Club. The cost is $30 for Y-members and $60 for non-members. The camp is for all skill levels, so if you a beginner or experienced player come join us on the links. -

The facility on Marshall opened 50 years ago.There is a group of women in Kettering whose strong bonds of friendship were developed in a swimming pool.
Jean Judge, Sue Schiller, Ede Reitz, Vera Stewart, Jo Luster, Nan Becker, all of Kettering, and Julie Gilvary of Dayton met decades ago at the South Community YMCA on Marshall Road in Kettering. They meet every morning six days a week and swim about 72 laps.
