Since  the  YMCA  opened  over 10 years ago, it has meant so much more to people than any of us ever imagined it would. When the Y first came to town, people were thinking how wonderful it would be for young people. We were thinking about gym and swim and not about all the other services and opportunities the Y provides in Preble County.

Have fun taking part in a 5k timed obstacle course.  There will be 19 obstacles to maneuver.  Money raised will help send kids to camp. The Arctic Dash is Saturday Dec. 7th beginning at 10am at YMCA Camp Kern located at 5291 St. Route 350 in Oregonia, OH near Lebanon. The cost is $60.  Register on line at kerndash.org or just show up in person.

Kids compete in Dayton YMCA Triathlon

More than 100 local kids competed in the 7th annual YMCA Strong Kids Triathlon Saturday morning.

The Triathlon took place at the United Theological Seminary

This event was for kids ages 5 to 12 and encouraged healthy living and fun competition as they biked and ran to complete the race.

The Mayor of Trotwood and members of city council were present to award medals to kids crossing the finish line.

500 Local Kids to Compete in Annual Day Camp Olympics

Dayton, OH, 07.16.13 – Next week, over 500 day campers from every YMCA day camp site will participate in a two day-long annual competition, held at University of Dayton’s outdoor track on July 24th and 25th.
