May 26, 2015 - Throughout the last few weeks, several local seniors received spring cleanups from the Senior Home Repair Program and its hard-working volunteers.

From gutter cleaning, to mulch spreading, weeding, and window washing, volunteers from DOW Chemical, Preble County YMCA, Eaton Church of the Brethren and First Presbyterian Church Youth donated their time to help seniors in need.

Liz Schneider received award of appreciation from YMCA Teen Services

[Miami Valley, OH 4/24/15] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Liz Schneider as the YMCA Teen Services volunteer of the year.

Pastor Gerry Sadai received award of appreciation from Preble County YMCA

[Miami Valley, OH 4/24/15] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Pastor Gerry Sadai as the Preble County YMCA volunteer of the year.  

Pastor Gerry Sadai has been volunteering as a Chaplain at the Preble County Y for the last three years.

Leroy Chambliss received award of appreciation from Kleptz YMCA

[Miami Valley, OH 4/24/15] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Leroy Chambliss as the Kleptz YMCA volunteer of the year.  

President’s Award Presented for 22 Years of Volunteer Service

Betsy Clymer-Burns received award of appreciation for her commitment to the YMCA

[Dayton, OH 4/20/15] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Betsy Clymer-Burns as the President’s Award winner.

This honor is awarded to an individual that continually goes above and beyond for the YMCA.

Dan Harkless received award of appreciation from the South YMCA

[Miami Valley, OH 4/20/15] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Dan Harkless as the South YMCA volunteer of the year.

Dan has been a member of the South Y since 2005. He is an active and key member of the South Y Masters Swim group. This group competes in several states each year and won four medals at the Summer Senior Games.

Dan is also a veteran of the United State Navy having proudly served his country from 1968-1972. Thank you Dan for your service to our country!

April 8, 2015 - The sounds of spring rang throughout the Word of Faith’s Ultimate Helicopter Egg Drop at the Preble County YMCA on Saturday, April 4.

Children laughing and playing outside are some of the first signs of spring, and spring could be heard all afternoon at the event held during the YMCA’s Healthy Kids/Safe Community Day.
