YMCA School Age Enrichment Programs make sure that the time gap before and after school is filled creatively and constructively. Homework help, an afternoon snack, art projects, and active group games are part of our program. YMCA school-age enrichment programs help children grow physically, and mentally while emphasizing and modeling the character development values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

REGISTRATION FEE

Registration fees are applied once every program cycle.

  • Individual Child - $40
  • Family Max - $50

*Ohio Department of Children and Youth (Ohio DCY) covers the registration fee for families receiving publicly funded childcare (PFCC).

Before School Care Only

Our YMCA Before School Care Rate covers: 
Monday–Friday
6:30am–School Starts

Weekly Fee
$65 Part Time (1-3 Days)
$72 Full Time (4-5 Days)

  • Weekly Fee rates can be requested to change rate once per semester. 
  • Before Care applies only on days when school is in session.
  • YMCA Child Care services are available for an additional fee on calamity days, Professional Development Days, and Break Weeks. See the Additional Available Services tab below for more info.

ADDITIONAL AVAILABLE SERVICES

The following are Add On Services that YMCA School Aged Child Care offers:

Care available when school is not scheduled, during holidays, and weather emergencies.

Early Release Fee
As a courtesy for parents enrolled in PM Flat Rate After Care, early release is included at no charge.  Otherwise add on fees will be charged.

Delays
School delays up to 2 hours will be a courtesy for families already enrolled in AM Flat Rate morning care or the AM/PM Flat Rate before and after care option. Otherwise add on fees will be charged.   Should the school move from delay status to closed status, families should have alternative transportation and pick up options. *See Calamity Care Closure Options

Calamity Closure Days and Days Out of School: $50 Per Day
(Calamity Closure Days are unplanned School District days - Ex: Snow, Emergency, etc.)
Calamity Closure Care participation is offered at the assigned location for those who have signed up.  The assigned location is communicated in parent orientations and registration and may have a slight delay as staff move from the school to the alternative location if necessary. Parents may be requested to move their children to the assigned location or an alternative location should weather or circumstance require a change. Every attempt will be made to communicate a change in advance. 
 
Break Week Rate: Up to $225 Per Week or $50 Per Day
(Break Weeks refer to full weeks out of school. Ex: Winter Break, Spring Break, etc.)
Financial Assistance

The YMCA of Greater Dayton is a charitable, not-for-profit, health and human services organization committed to helping people reach their full potential in spirit, mind and body.

Through generous donations from members and your community, the YMCA is proud to offer Our Extra Hands Program. This provides financial assistance to those in need.

Follow the following steps to apply for our Child Care Scholarships:
Step 1:  Apply for PFCC (If you are denied, you can proceed with the YMCA Extra Hands Application. You will need to provide a copy of your denial letter from your county.) If you are approved for PFCC, a YMCA Scholarship would not be applicable. 
Step 2: Fill out our Extra Hands Application (YMCA Scholarship)
Step 3: Provide us with 1 Month of Pay Stubs for all adults in your household.
Step 4: Provide your previous year's tax filing (Ex. Federal 1040 with W-2's)
Step 5: Provide a personal letter (written or typed) to the Scholarship Committee. This letter should explain your current situation and express your need for financial assistance. 

Once all 5 of these components are provided to the YMCA Child Care Director, the completed Scholarship Application will be reviewed at the Monthly Child Care Scholarship Committee Meeting. Following this meeting, results are mailed to inform you of the status of your application. 

*YMCA Scholarships cannot be applied retroactively.

Applying for Ohio Public Funds

The YMCA accepts publicly funded child care through the State of Ohio.

The Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) helps parent(s) who are working or in school pay for child care through the Publicly Funded Child Care (PFCC) program.

You may be required to pay for part of your child care in the form of a copayment as determined by DCY. The amount you pay is based on your gross income and family size.

The YMCA reserves the right to adjust rates as needed and will communicate any changes necessary in advance.

Rate Plans are selected upon registration. Rate Plans can be changed once per semester if needed.  A semester is January through May and August through December.

Holidays

The YMCA closes for the following holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day.

YMCA reserves the right to add holiday closure dates as needed.

The YMCA closes for two professional development days: The first Friday in November and the last Friday in February.

The YMCA will attempt to communicate at least 2 weeks in advance for any closures.
