Do you have plans for the upcoming Labor Day weekend?
Monday, September 5 is Labor Day. But there’s celebrations going on all weekend long!
In Kettering, Holiday at Home Festivities are happening for two days, Sunday and Monday. You can check out an auto show, arts and crafts, concessions, entertainment and a children’s area at the Fraze Pavilion. On Monday, you can check out the parade or participate in a 5K. Are you a thrill seeker? You can check out lots of rides at Alter Fest, held at Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering. The event takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There’s music, all kinds of food, lots of kids’ games, poker, cornhole and more. There’s a 5K as well. Go here for more information on events and pricing
Young’s Jersey Dairy is hosting Labor Day Family Value Weekend, Friday- Monday. There’s a special value wristband you can purchase which includes mini golf, batting cages, a driving range slides, a corn maze, wagon rides and more. Check out the details here
Looking to spend time outside listening to some great tunes? Austin Landing is hosting the last Party in the Park of the season. You can check out the Menus on Friday at 6:30 p.m. There will be a variety of food trucks and a beer garden. Doors open at 5 p.m. For more information, go here
Do you enjoy fire trucks? Or history? Then you’ll want to check out the Antique Fire Apparatus Show at Carillon Historical Park. It’s happening Saturday from 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. It’s a family friendly, educational event with a display of approximately 40 pieces of antique fire apparatus. You can buy tickets here
Riverblast is taking place again in downtown Miamisburg. The free event kicks off with live music at 6 p.m. on Saturday at Riverfront Park. Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks puts on a show at 9:05 p.m. For more details go here
Does your family enjoy riding bikes? Check out Bike the Boro on Saturday. The event at Springboro’s North Park includes bike rides on the streets of the city, starting at 10 a.m., followed by an expo where numerous bike shops, organizations and public safety agencies will be on hand.
