Volunteer of the Year Award Presented to Springboro Supporter

[Miami Valley, OH 4/25/19] – The YMCA of Greater Dayton is pleased to recognize Alvin Lee as the Coffman YMCA volunteer of the year. Alvin has been a member of the Coffman YMCA since 2013. 

For the past several years, Alvin has been one of the go-to volunteers for the Coffman Y’s Silver Sneaker Coordinator Kerrie Weineki, where he has assisted with several Senior Health Fairs, the Senior Showcase and Healthy Kids Day. 

Alvin serves as one of the Volunteer Chaplains at the Coffman YMCA and in 2018 he faithfully volunteered more than 300 hours at the Y building relationships, listening and sharing Godly counsel. 

The award was presented during the YMCA's 148th Annual Meeting at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair in Dayton on March 14th. The event raised over $26,000 for the YMCA's Annual Campaign and LIVESTRONG at the Y program. The night consisted of a silent auction, dinner and a program where volunteers and staff were recognized for their contributions to the success of the YMCA of Greater Dayton.
